We've been busy building on Infusion Online, with new functionality, customer-requested improvements and more developments underway.

Some of these updates have been highly anticipated, including Bulk Job Costs, while others, like multi-currency, open up more possibilities for businesses managing their day-to-day operations.

We're also making progress on capabilities that matter to customers considering a move from Desktop to Online, including custom electronic exports for businesses trading with major retailers and trading groups such as Mitre 10, ITM and Capricorn.

Bulk Job Costs: A feature worth waiting for.

For businesses managing multiple jobs, entering costs one job at a time can be time-consuming. That's why we're pleased to introduce Job Costs in Bulk to Infusion Online – a highly requested feature designed to make everyday job costing faster and easier.

With Bulk Costs, you can now enter product and general ledger costs for multiple jobs from one screen, rather than navigating between individual jobs.

What does this mean for your team?

• Less time entering costs: Capture costs across multiple jobs in one place.

• Faster data entry: Easily move between fields, with details carried forward to help speed up repetitive entries.

• More flexibility: Save batches as drafts and return to complete or review them later.

• Greater control: Review your entries before posting costs to the relevant jobs.

Multi-currency is here with more to come!

Doing business with overseas suppliers? Managing foreign currencies is getting easier with Infusion Online.

Our Multi-currency capability is continuing to expand, helping businesses manage foreign-currency transactions without the need to manually convert amounts before entering them into Infusion.

What's available now?

Multi-Currency is already available for Cashbook Payments, allowing you to record payments in your supplier's currency while Infusion calculates and stores the equivalent value in your local currency.

With Multi-Currency enabled, you can:

• Record foreign-currency payments using the supplier's currency.

• Manage exchange rates, including forward cover rates where required.

• Reduce manual conversions when entering foreign-currency transactions.

• Keep reporting consistent, with transactions recorded in your local currency for financial reporting.

The functionality also works with Smart Grid, making it easier to view and manage foreign- and local-currency transactions.

Coming next: Multi-currency Purchasing

We're extending Multi-Currency across the purchasing process, including purchase orders, receipting, supplier invoices and payments.

These improvements will help businesses purchasing from overseas suppliers manage foreign currencies more consistently throughout their purchasing workflows, reducing manual handling and simplifying everyday processes.

Trading with major retailers? Custom export capabilities are available.

For businesses supplying major retailers and trading groups like Mitre 10, ITM and Capricorn, meeting their invoicing requirements is an essential part of doing business.

We're redeveloping these custom export capabilities for Infusion Online, helping businesses continue to meet their trading partners' requirements as they consider making the move from Desktop.

For many suppliers, these trading relationships represent a significant part of their business. Having the right invoicing capabilities in place is essential to keeping those relationships running smoothly.

Coming next to Infusion Online

Faster, easier workflows with Smart Grid

We're continuing to expand Smart Grid across Infusion Online, bringing more flexibility and faster ways of working to the tasks your team completes every day.

For businesses managing large orders, multiple products and frequent transactions, even small improvements to data entry can make a big difference.

Less clicking. Less scrolling. Faster data entry.

Smart Grid is coming to Product and Purchase Order Receipting, making it easier to work through multiple lines without constantly opening, editing and navigating between them.

With Smart Grid, you'll be able to:

• Move through entries faster – use improved keyboard navigation to enter quantities and move straight to the next line.
• Make the screen work for you – show or hide columns to focus on the information you need.
• Work more efficiently on large orders – reduce unnecessary clicking and scrolling when updating multiple lines.
• Add lines where you need them – insert new lines between existing entries without having to add them at the bottom and move them into place.

And there's more on the way!

We're also bringing Smart Grid to Invoices and Quotes, making it easier to enter and manage product information across your sales workflows.

This functionality will be introduced progressively, starting with standard products before expanding to support more complex product types and additional features, including notes.

You're in control of when to make the switch. These new Smart Grid functions will be opt-in, so you can choose when to start using them as they become available.

It's all part of our ongoing focus on making everyday processes simpler, faster and more flexible in Infusion Online.

With Custom Fields in Infusion Online, you can capture and manage the details that matter to your business, right where your team already works.

Whether you're a wholesaler tracking product specifications, a retailer managing additional product information, or a service business recording job requirements and site details, Custom Fields give you the flexibility to make Infusion work for you.

More flexibility, without the extra spreadsheets

Custom Fields let you add your own information to customer, supplier and product records, as well as invoices, quotes, purchase orders and jobs.

That could mean recording:

• Customer information – accreditation numbers, account references or specific requirements

• Product details – specifications, calssifications or additional information for your online store

• Job and operational details – site codes, compliance requirements or internal references

• Sales and purchasing information – additional details on quotes, invoices and purchase orders

You can choose from different field types, including text, dates, numbers, yes/no options and dropdown lists, helping your team capture information consistently.

Handy Features to Simplify Your Reporting

There are a couple of handy features in Infusion Online that could save you time every time you run them.

Save your report settings and use them again

If you regularly run reports using the same filters and parameters, you no longer need to set everything up from scratch.

With Save Report Parameters, you can save your preferred settings and even make them your default.

That means:

• Less repetitive work – no need to re-enter the same report settings every time.

• More consistent reporting – run reports using the same parameters each time.

• Fewer manual checks – no more referring back to notes to remember which settings to use.

Whether you're running regular financial reports, reviewing stock information or checking business performance, it's a simple improvement that can make reporting easier.

Change your report layout as you go

Need to view a report or document in a different format?

Infusion Online also lets you change the layout when running reports, giving you more flexibility without having to go back and change your usual settings.

It's another small improvement designed to make everyday reporting more convenient.

If you are not already using these features they're worth exploring next time you're running a report.

Data and Security Updates

Keeping our hosted environment secure and up to date

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a secure and reliable hosted environment, we are upgrading our hosted servers over the coming weeks. This will ensure they continue to receive the latest security updates and ongoing vendor support.

The upgrades will take place progressively through to the beginning of December typically between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM (NZST), to minimise disruption.

There’s nothing you need to do for now — we’ll be in touch when it’s time to upgrade your environment.

Upcoming security update – encryption requirements

As part of our ongoing commitment to data security, we're updating our encryption requirements to support modern security standards.

From 1 December 2026, Infusion will require TLS 1.3, with support for older encryption standards being retired.

For most customers using modern operating systems, browsers and applications, no action is expected.

However, if your business uses older software, custom integrations, legacy servers or network equipment, we recommend checking with your IT team or integration provider to ensure everything is compatible with TLS 1.3.

What do you need to know?

• Most customers won't need to do anything – modern systems generally support TLS 1.3.
• Older systems may need checking – particularly custom integrations or legacy applications.
• Important date: 1 December 2026 – connections relying on older TLS versions or unsupported encryption settings will no longer be supported.

This update is part of our ongoing work to maintain a secure and reliable platform for our customers.
